Abstact Submissions


Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be prepared in Turkish and English.
  • Abstracts must be original and have not been previously published in a peer-review journal or presented at a previous congress.
  • Presentations are limited to one presentation per person. You can be listed as a co-author on several submissions but must be the presenter on only one submission.
  • All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and acceptance notification will be sent to the presenting author by email which will confirm the mode of presentation.

Abstract Format:

  • There are three types of abstracts that can be submitted for review: research articles, case reports and reviews
  • The deadline for submission of abstracts is 21 August 2022.
  • Title: should not exceed the 150 characters limit (spaces included) and typed in sentence case (all letters in lowercase except the first letter of the first word of the title)
  • Abstract text word limit: the main body of the abstract text should not be more than 250 words (title, authors and affiliation details are excluded).

For Research Articles:

There should be headings in bold/capitals for AIM, METHODS, RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS.

  • AIM: Usually one short simple sentence stating the objective of the study.
  • METHODS: This section must be clearly written and in sufficient detail for the work to be repeated by other workers. The statistical methods used should be stated.
  • RESULTS: The findings of the study should be clearly and sufficiently presented and only related to the methods described. Statistical analysis should be included in this section. Images, tables and visual data should not be submitted.
  • CONCLUSIONS: This section should briefly outline the most important findings.

For Case Reports

There should be headings in bold/capitals for: INTRODUCTION, CASE REPORT(S) and CONCLUSIONS.

  • INTRODUCTION: A brief definiton and explanation, als the backgroun information about the disease or the condition of the case report should be given.
  • CASE REPORT(S): The clinical and radiographical findings, the treatment approach should be described in detail. A description of the FOLLOW-UP clinical care carried out must be included.
  • CONCLUSIONS: Final comments regarding the importance of the case should be reported.

For reviews:

There should be headings in bold/capitals for: INTRODUCTION, LITERATURE REVIEW and CONCLUSIONS.

  • INTRODUCTION: A brief definition and explanation, also the background information about the disease or the condition of the case report should be given.
  • LITERATURE REVIEW: This section should include a chronological compilation and discussion of research and/or case reports in the current literature on the subject.
  • CONCLUSIONS: The conclusions obtained with the literature review should be summarized.
